FINANCE ASSISTANT

Catalyst Church is seeking a Finance Assistant to assist the Finance Administrator in proper bookkeeping and accounting for Catalyst Church and Catalyst Daycare. This position is part time, 20-25 hours per week.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: 

  • Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded.
  • Posting journal entries to ledger accounts.
  • Preparing trial balances.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing cash flow statements.
  • Preparing financial reports.
  • Depositing money received by the organization.
  • Paying accounts on behalf of the organization.
  • Performing payroll administration duties.
  • Performing other duties as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  

  • Prefer - Minimum of Associates Degree in Finance 
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize
  • Strong math Skills
  • Strong Bookkeeping skills
  • Professional demeanor, approach, and appearance in actions and work style

 

ATTENDANCE 

  • Maintain regular office hours within the requirements established by the Human Resources Department
  • Attend required trainings
