Facilities Maintenance Coordinator


Execute the overall vision of the Cataylst Church while providing direction, administration, development, and oversight of the lead custodian and custodian team while working in concurrence with the overall mission, vision, values, and strategies of Cataylst Church.  This position includes simple repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, plumbing, etc.). Work with Cataylst Church to partner in helping them to accomplish their goals, while maintaining budget constraints.

The facilities maintenance coordinator reports and answers directly to the Executive Pastor of Operations, and works closely with the Executive Pastor’s Administrative Assistant:

Responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for preparing and managing annual facilities budget.
  • Maintain calendar of all equipment and building inspections. Schedule inspections as required and /or contracted.
  • Manages vendors /contractors and landscaping crews assuring the grounds are well maintained. 
  • Coordinate arrangements for public functions and social gatherings according to the proper protocol, as necessary.
  • Occasionally coordinate groups of volunteers for certain projects that may include evening hours.
  • Evaluate current and future needs for maintenance of building and grounds. Prepare and/or execute plan to address these needs and make recommendation to Executive Pastor of Operations and the Properties Team on major repairs & preventative maintenance.

  • Ability to gather and organize resources (people, budgets, material, and support) to meet objectives effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish the overall vision and mission of Cataylst Church.

Job Type: This position is a regular 40 hr. week position, but is subject to change if the needs of the church requires it.
